INTERCUlTURAL DAY "LET'S TAKE THE SQUARE"
We share some images of the intercultural day "Toma la Plaza" held recently in the Orriols neighbourhood of Valencia, in which around 120 people of 15 nationalities took part.
The activities included dynamics of cohesion, recognition and integration and were led by four young people, who motivated the public to participate.
Other activities were also carried out, such as "Sowing Youth Art", in which young people modelled plasticine figures with the aim of breaking traditional beauty stereotypes and launching a message of inclusion.
In addition, six people from the neighbourhood performed four monologues that had been constructed over a six-month period. The monologues shared a message denouncing the phenomenon of spoliation. They also denounced the adversities and lifestyles derived from consumption models, which are, among others: environmental crisis, discrimination and violation of human rights.
The day was shared with organisations such as Orriols Convive, the African Union Federation and Sarao, who, in addition to managing the space, promoted activities such as a workshop on African drumming, workshops on urban vegetable gardens and printing on cloth bags.
