INTERCUlTURAL DAY “LET'S TAKE THE SQUARE”
We share some images of the intercultural day “Toma la Plaza” held recently in the Orriols neighborhood of Valencia and in which about 120 people of 15 nationalities participated.
The activities included cohesion, recognition and integration dynamics and were led by four young people, who motivated the public to participate.
También se llevaron a cabo otras actividades como "Sembrando el Arte Juvenil", con la cual personas jóvenes modelaron figuras de plastilina con el objetivo de romper con los estereotipos de belleza tradicionales y lanzar un mensaje de inclusión.

In addition, six people from the neighborhood performed four monologues constructed during a previous six-month work. The monologues shared a message denouncing the phenomenon of spoliation. Also of the adversities and ways of life derived from consumption models, which are, among others: environmental crisis, discrimination and violation of human rights.
The day was shared with organizations such as Orriols Convive, African Union Federation and Sarao, who, in addition to managing the space, promoted activities such as a workshop on African drum percussion, workshops on urban gardens or printing on cloth bags.

The development of these activities is part of the project “Regardless of origin, among all young people we rebuild a more inclusive and supportive Post-Covid-19 Europe” that will be developed in several European cities throughout 2022-2023 by Cantiere Giovani Cooperativa Sociale ONLUS and InterEuropean Human Aid Association Germany e.V, and with funding from the Erasmus Plus project of the European Union.
