Speak Out, Building a social and inclusive Europe through youth and migrant volunteering
On March 10, 11, 12, 2023, within the framework of the project 'Speak Out, Building a social and inclusive Europe from youth and migrant volunteering', we met with Lesvos Solidarity, La Cosecha Producciones, the Intereuropean Human Aid Association (IHA) and Cantiere Giovani.
This is a project that is being developed in Lesbos, Thessaloniki, Naples and Valencia during the years 2023 and 2025. Among its main objectives are:
- Promote the protagonism of young people in the different territories of action.
Consolidate among the participating entities a solid network that promotes processes that advance synergies between the migrant and non-migrant youth population. - To promote collaborative work among the entities to work at a transnational and intersectoral level in order to generate a stable European network.
- Generate non-formal tools for the creation of friendship and support networks between native and migrated youth in order to banish hate speech, violence and extremism among young people.
- To develop the civic, citizenship, social, cultural and digital skills and competencies of migrant and indigenous youth.
- To strengthen the local development of the communities in which the project is developed, as they are often host territories for migrant populations in particular.
- Generate young communities that help their neighbors to overcome difficulties, becoming actively involved in creating more sustainable and less degraded local communities where violence has no place.
